Love this place!!! I'm personally not a big beer drinker, but this place is one of the best around!!! The prices on beer seemed to be very reasonable. And the food well let's just say it will blow your socks off. The prices on food is very reasonable as well. The atmosphere is very cool as well. Easley one of Winston Salem's hidden gems. This place is worth every dollar you spend there. And the wait staff is extremely nice and spot on. As we left every waitress we passed and people at the front door told us to have a good night and drive safe. If you are having a hard time deciding if you want to go or not just bite the bullet and good ahead and go, you wont leave disappointed.
Great atmosphere and excellent, unique food. Full bar with their own creations.
I had ana amazing experience at Finnigans Wake. The drinks were amazing. I tried the pickle back shot first. Honestly that is the best way to take a shot. It was very interesting. They have a very large beer menu with tons of imports. I like hefeweizen and I was happy to see it on the menu. They also have great drink deals. The atmosphere is very upbeat and stellar. It has a very trending crowds and there's lots of conversations and laughter and less cell phones which is amazing. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Everytime I see Shepard's pie on a menu it's my first go too and my favorite childhood meal. I was even happier that it contained lamb. I had a great time.
Great place! This is my first time in this city. We ate here with a big party and the staff was great. The food was plentiful and tasted amazing. You had better come hungry cause the portions were big. The atmosphere in this place is amazing and unique.
Love this place! They surprisingly have a vegan option, the chickpea bowl, which is so delicious. Good place to hang out and have a beer!
Very friendly staff, interesting menu and good food.
Staff are super friendly and the food is awesome. Cool, laid back atmosphere...a nice place to hang out.
This place has real Irish dishes that will make you feel like you are at home. Very reasonable prices and the atmosphere is amazing. Would return again and again. A real Gem. Check it out!!!
The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was very nice and the restaurant was clean. The menu choices all sounded wonderful. They have a lot to choose from. Everything I had here was very yummy. Most places garnish water with lemon, but they used cucumber. How absolutely refreshing!! The draw to this establishment for me though, Scotch Eggs on the menu!!! Scrumptious!! Can't wait to revisit!
Historically finnigans has been great. Good food, good drinks, good service.Recently though the time-to-completion of a visit, especially on the non-bar side of the restaurant has increased significantly. This prevents us from coming during our lunch hour now.If you aren't on a time crunch, finnigans is a fantastic place to go.
Been here three times and have not had a bad dish. However, just like Foothills, depending on who you get as a server, it could be a long experience. For visitors from Ireland, this is a surefire place to take them, if they're yearning for some food from home
Can't ever go wrong here, my favorite is the Lambert, which is a half beef and half lamb meat burger. And my girlfriend loves their fish and chips and salmon specials. Win win for both of us, not to mention drinks are excellent.
We just ate at Finnigan's Wake and the Scotch Eggs were delicious. Can't wait to go back.
Great beer selection, including local brews and traditional pub varieties such as Guinness, Smithwick's, and Bass.Warm and friendly pub atmosphere. Service is great. Food is a delicious and somewhat similar take on traditional pub food. Prices are reasonable.
Super fun friendly bar and the beers on tap are all really good! I wish I had tried a Winston Salem one but I got the Dogfish Head Sea Quench beer from Milton, DE and it didn't disappoint! Met lots of friendly patrons and world cup was on UK Vs Croatia and people were so excited and happy! Till the end of course. Bartenders switched while I was there and both of them very sweet! Almost positive Danny Tanners clone showed up at bar at one point literally could be him 20 years ago. I decided he was a news anchor or a lawyer. Dressed to nice to be Full House material! 😂 This place had some really funny tshirts for being in the Wake Forest town!
Just ok. Weird they only serve brunch on a Saturday at 11am. Very bright so not cozy. Just ok. Would have been nice to be able to get other food on a Saturday other than brunch. Poor witnesses have to wear ridiculous skirts like its the 90s and its cold inside. The fried buffalo chicken wrap was really good and so were the steak fries. No complaints about the food. Just the lack of menu and ambience. Def not an " Irish Pub" feel.
Great place to hang out on the weekends, its hot the Christmas spirit, the ambiance is warm and the food is good. Would recommend as agood place to to eat fmdrink and chill. The staff is warm and friendly. Highly recomended.
Open late with an incredible selection of beer & awesome food! Pictured here - spinach artichoke dip & Rachel sandwich! Loved every bite.
Outstanding brunch. Wait staff was good as well. Timely on refills.
Great location, the beer selection is very good and the food was delicious. The potato cake appetizer was my favorite. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes.
Had the bangers and mash with a Guinness, which was f'n delicious. Love the hardy appearance of the pub too. So many places in Winston have fallen victim to gentrification and look fake as a result.Friendly suggestion for them: Play traditional Irish tracks instead of pop/rock radio. And get rid of the TV. Then you'd have yourselves an even better pub/restaurant that would truly give customers an authentic experience!
We always hit this place for traditional fish & chips with a British beer. Reminds my wife of her childhood...the Ol' breakfast fry-up is also very good.
This place is really good. My wife and I had dinner here with our friends from our company and the food was really delicious! The service was great and they did a great job getting the food out to us all. I recommend it.
This place has a really good vibe. If you go late night for drinks, or in early for brunch, you will not be disappointed at all. Always friendly and great people every time I have been there. Sunday brunch is great. Prices are right in line with other downtown eateries.
Service was great!! Food was good. Atmosphere was relaxed.
Service was great, but the corned beef was very dry...sliced and fried. My friend had fish and chips...he loved it. Restaurant has 92.5 score.
Love this place the staff is real friendly and food is very tasty.. they usually have some good drink specials... Do Recommend... good spot for a drink
Staff were very friendly and all the dishes were excellent with large portion sizes. Would go again!
Had a great time here. They have a great beer selection to include Irish (Guinness, Smithwicks), German (Franziskaner), Austrian (Stiegl), domestic, and others. Food was good too. I'll return.
We got their small entrees and they were huge portion sizes. The corned beef and bangers and mash were both delicious. The Scotch eggs were great. I like the mustard that is served with it. The waitress was kind and quickly took our orders. We will definitely come back.
A cozy little bar and restaurant. Huge selection of drinks and a few specials each night too. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options. Our server was awesome and super chill.
Finnigan's Wake is located in the art's district of downtown Winston Salem. There are tables outside both in the front where you can watch people or the back in a very pretty private courtyard. There is seating inside for those who prefer to escape the elements. I was genuinely surprised at the thickness of my burger and it was cooked exactly as I ordered; my friend ordered fish and chips and thought it was awesome. The one issue you might experience is difficulty finding a place to park-depending on the day and time it can be tricky. Finnigan's can get crowded but it's worth the wait. All in all, there is a relaxed casual atmosphere, cold beer and good food; try the sweet potato fries..they were delicious!
Love working here and we are open for dine in starting June 24. Come support your local irish pub!
Was here for a catered dinner. The staff was attentive and professional. Food was basic barbeque buffet style, nothing too special except the desserts that were served by staff as small shot glass sized treat...fun. Would have liked to have seen a more diverse list of craft beers.
Service was quick and food was delicious! Corned beef with mashed potatoes and cabbage was very tasty and even the small plate was very generous. Waitress was very friendly - highly recommend this place if you are in the area.
Called ahead for curbside takeout and it was seamless and super convenient. Fish and chips needed salt, but the cod was cooked well. The scotch eggs stole the show and I would definitely order these again. As far as COVID precautions, I saw a group of young women go in and most of them were not wearing masks. I don't know what it was like inside. Server presented takeout safely and contactless.
We love to come here for lunch. Lots of options and everything is executed well. They do have some items for those with special diets, which is really nice.
Great beer selection, excellent friendly staff. The ranch dressing was very good. The remainder of our food was just average.
Good food, good people and wonderful service. You really can't go wrong.
Good fish and chips, never tried anything i didn’t like there. Owner is chill. Fun trivia tuesday night.
Yummy food, fun laid back atmosphere, excellent service, decent Sangria.
Quintessential Irish bar in the heart of downtown Winston. Food is really good albeit the curry sauce they provide is a tad too sweet and they do not have brown sauce, this is something that an Irish bar should have! That being said will continue to return!
Directed to Finnigan's by a local police officer. It was perfect. The atmosphere was perfect to rehydrate, refuel, fellowship and watch some college football. Lots of good beer on tap and good food. The wait staff was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Definitely a place we will visit again when we are in town.
Great vegetarian options! The buffalo “chicken” wrap was absolutely amazing. It seemed like they had a very large menu with lots of choices. My boyfriend got the chicken sandwich with the apple slices on it and really liked it!
Traditional Irish whiskey bar offering decent selection of whiskeys for what appears to be a college oriented locale. Ordered the fried pickles and the Lambert burger: both were excellent.
Food and drinks were so good! Definitely coming back
Perfect. Tomato soup and apps tray was perfect.
Menu has a wide variety of items to accommodate many tastes and dietary preferences. Staff is polite and helpful (and willing to ask the kitchen for detailed information.about menu items). If you're looking for a quieter lunch spot, this is an excellent choice. Also a great spot for a lunch break if you're browsing the shops and galleries in the Arts District. Nearby parking makes it easy to get in and out of this downtown restaurant.
The food is delicious and the service is fantastic!! It reminded my husband and I of our local Irish pub.
Great local Irish pub with authentic fare. Definitely worth a visit. Food is good & service friendly.
